Kidifree is probably one of the most useful pieces of freeware I've ever had the fortune to find. It took me all of 2 seconds to understand the interface, there is a wide library of apps that can be downloaded, and it's wonderfully easy to use.
One aspect that I particularly liked was the fact it has a search bar, so if you're looking for something specific, you can just type it in to see if it's there. The different types of freeware (text editors, games, etc) are separated into different sections to help you narrow your search, and if you have a freeware app of your own or find another app that isn't on the list, you can submit your own with a simple click, drag and drop. There is also the option to burn disk images, something that pleasantly surprised me when opening the application. I think the only downsides (as small as they are) is that most of it, but not ALL of it is completely translated into english, so there are a few parts that are in french, and that there isn't many options to customize, such as if you were trying to sort PPC apps from Intel and/or Universal Binary apps. Aside from this slight complaint, which is more out of personal preference than anything else, I can't fault this app on how useful it's been. |
