Conversation is the perfect client for IRC beginners
Simplification, not limitation. You do not have to learn the traditional IRC "slash" commands, all can be done through its clear interface that respects MacOS X standards.
Manage your servers, channels and buddies like your playlists
Choose between the familiar iChat like interface, switch to the single window mode, like iTunes. Connect to multiple servers at the same time. The Favorite window is organised hierarchically, showing you which channel belongs to which server.
The discussion layout is clear and easy to read
Users names all have a unique color. You can modify this color for your favorite on-line friends. It displays Smileys and URLs are clickable.
Setting up a new connection is a breeze
In most IRC clients, setting up a new IRC server connection is a pain. In Conversation simply click on the + button, enter the address of the server and type enter. That's it you are connected!
File Transfers made easy
Send a file by drag and drop. Download a file by simply clicking on a file MP3 or XDCC offer hyperlink. Search files in the integrated XDCC file search engine. Use the local menu to get the MP3 or XDCC file list from a bot. Use the Customizable search box. Resume file transfers.
Integration
